Carefully preserved in the heart of Cappadocia
Logos Cave Cappadocia is more than a place to stay. Set within a 2,000 square metre estate in the heart of Göreme, this restored family mansion dates back to 1895 and stands as one of the enduring examples of Cappadocia’s architectural and cultural heritage.
The property once belonged to Ahmet Hakkı Paşa, a respected parliamentarian, educator, and public servant of the early Republican era. Travelling across the region on horseback, he mapped the lands of Nevşehir, supported the establishment of schools, and played an important role in the development of local institutions. His contributions helped shape the region, and his legacy continues to live within the walls of the mansion he once called home.
Unlike many historic properties that have changed hands over time, this mansion has remained in the same family for generations. Today, its preservation continues under the care of Yasin Mete Sütekin, the third-generation descendant of Ahmet Hakkı Paşa. As a civil engineer, he dedicated more than three years to the meticulous restoration of the estate, ensuring that its architectural character, historical integrity, and family heritage would be preserved for future generations. What stands today is not simply a restored building, but a carefully protected family legacy entrusted from one generation to the next.
The mansion has been thoughtfully transformed into a boutique hotel with ten individually designed rooms. Former granaries, guest chambers, wine production areas, and stables have been reimagined while preserving the character and purpose of the original structure. Each room reflects a different chapter of the building’s history, allowing guests to experience a living piece of Cappadocia’s past.
Throughout the property, traditional Cappadocian architecture remains at the forefront. Arched ceilings, hand-carved stone interiors, historic courtyards, and interconnected living spaces reflect the craftsmanship of a different era. Modern comforts have been introduced with care and restraint, allowing the authenticity of the mansion to remain intact.
Beyond its architecture, Logos Cave Cappadocia reflects a way of life rooted in Anatolian hospitality. Mornings begin quietly in the courtyard, afternoons unfold on terraces overlooking Göreme, and evenings settle beneath stone arches that have witnessed generations of family life.
Our mission is to preserve this heritage while offering an experience defined by sincerity, comfort, and cultural connection. We believe meaningful hospitality begins with a sense of place, and every detail of the hotel is designed to honour the history of the mansion while welcoming new stories into its walls.
Our vision is to establish Logos Cave Cappadocia among the most distinguished cultural boutique hotels of the region, preserving its heritage while creating thoughtful experiences that connect travellers with the history, character, and spirit of Cappadocia.
Today, Logos Cave Cappadocia remains a living part of the region’s heritage. It offers travellers not only the opportunity to explore Cappadocia, but also to experience the atmosphere of a historic family home where the past continues to shape the present.
Melih Keskin brought more than 25 years of construction experience to the restoration of Logos Cave Cappadocia. After completing the restoration of a historic seminary dating back to 1751 in Ürgüp, now operating as Sedirli Konak Hotel, he developed a deep appreciation for Cappadocia’s historic mansions, stone architecture, and rock carved spaces.
What began as a professional project gradually became a personal passion. Before undertaking the restoration of Logos Cave Cappadocia, he spent nearly a year exploring the region, studying its architectural heritage, and working alongside local architects, craftsmen, art historians, and conservation specialists to better understand the traditions that shaped Cappadocia.
In 2021, this three-generation family mansion, inherited through the legacy of Ahmet Hakkı Paşa and carefully preserved by his descendants, was entrusted to Melih Keskin by Yasin Mete Sütekin. More than a restoration project, it was the responsibility of protecting a family heritage and preparing it for future generations.
As a first-degree protected cultural property, every stage of the restoration was carried out in accordance with approved restitution and restoration principles. The goal was never simply to renovate the building, but to preserve its original character, architectural integrity, and historic silhouette while ensuring its long-term sustainability.
Over the following three years, historic vaults were reinforced, retaining walls were rebuilt, and vulnerable sections of the mansion were carefully strengthened without compromising their authenticity. Much of the work was carried out under challenging conditions, with materials often transported by hand through the narrow streets of Göreme. Every stone, arch, and courtyard required patience, craftsmanship, and respect for the building’s history.
For Melih Keskin, however, the project became something far more personal than construction. As the years passed, he developed a deep connection with both the mansion and Cappadocia itself. Some spaces continue to hold special meaning for him, including rooms where future ideas and unfinished dreams still remain. Even today, he speaks not only about what was restored, but also about what can still be preserved, improved, and passed on to future generations.
When the restoration was completed in 2024, he chose not to leave. The bond he had formed with the mansion, its history, and the region had become part of his own story. Today, Melih Keskin continues his journey as a partner of Logos Cave Cappadocia, helping guide the property’s future while remaining committed to the preservation of its past.
The result is more than a restored building. It is a historic family home brought back to life through years of dedication, craftsmanship, and a shared belief that heritage is not only inherited, but protected.
