Room 202

This Cappadocia Deluxe Cave Room was an essential part of daily life in the household. With direct access from the lower courtyard, it was where animals were fed.

Donkeys and horses calmly chewed their feed from carved stone troughs known locally as “taka.” Hay bales hung from the beams and were gradually laid out over the stone floor at sunrise.

Even in the slower months of winter, this room remained active. Rakes, saddles, ropes, bells everything had its place. It was not only for animals, but also a resting spot for those who cared for them.

At times, elderly village women would pull dried oleaster from their saddlebags and offer them to children—a quiet kindness etched into the walls.

Today, this room welcomes guests with that same gentle, grounded energy.
